I will always remember

I will always remember

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

I must be thankful, no matter what

"
I will always remember
the first day we met,
and the way your smile
makes me slippery wet,
your touch to me surrender,
and nights never to forget.
but my heart, it's shattered
in too many places,
my past it has too many faces;
there are things I cannot do,
and others that can't be undone.
for a moment, I thought,
you might be "the one"
but somehow,
I no longer believe.

I suppose you never know until you try. This was sad, the longing was felt but the running from someone who could make you happy because...that was sad.

Yes, it is sad, but it is how it goes sometimes.
Hope and wishes sometime come true. Rarely. I like the journey in the poem. A sad ending to the words. Thank you my friend for sharing your poetry and thoughts. I do enjoy them.

I really appreciate it, as I do so love your work as well.
A raw, reflective write that charts the moment of falling to the falling out of love. Sad yet real.

Fallen falling, it all sounds so painful, doesn't it?

Yeah but when you do it as often as Me you learn stunt techniques...........
Reads as though someone's softening up, like when you show your pink underbelly too...

Yes, that underbelly has a way of popping out.

Yep the kitty's claws can't always strike, just proves we're human, right?
