BAD MOTHER

BAD MOTHER

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

sometimes you just have to poke some fun at the stupidity of the one who is hurting you.

"
I opened my email
in the middle of the night,
hooray I thought and
whoopdedoo,
as I slaved away,
on a volunteer crew,
at a quarter past two,
just what I needed,
to hear from you!

I shouldn't, it said, but I will anyway,
I will tell you all the reasons
you are a BAD MOTHER,
and if it isn't clear,
I will give you another.

One night last week
you gave our kid a sandwich
on whole wheat bread,
and when she wanted chocolate,
you gave her broccoli instead!

You went out to work,
and it was really late,
you did your hair and makeup,
so I am pretty sure
it was a date ...

I am really amazed at all
the pics on the internet
of you and all of your friends;
happy and smiling,
you are laughing again.

You made them pick up their toys,
You won't buy them brand names,
and left them with a sitter,
who prefers to play board games
and won't let them use "twitter"!

That's it, I am calling the
authorities,
you can't make our kids
sit at the table, say prayer
and say please!

Thanks so much.
Ahh, KLG, Tis obvious to me that prayers are needed, indeed. Good job, Mama! Keep your head up and remember to breath 10 times...and don't read Frieda's latest poems (they might give you some naughty ideas...:)

Yes, well, it will all come out, I just have to let my actions speak for themselves. Thank you.
This makes me sad. Mainly, because I have seen it before. I admire how you use your words to try and help deal with it. Best wishes.
