I said enough

I said enough

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

sometimes a little is a lot

"
I looked you in the eyes,
I held your hand,
I kissed you.
I didn't give you
all the words I wanted to,
but I gave you the ones
I could give coherent form,
and you would understand.

With that declaration,
you smiled,
helped me with my things,
and smacked my a*s,
on the way out the door.
who needs words?
when your hands
say so much more?

well now, isn't this a tease... I am wondering WHY you can't voice coherent thoughts and why a smack on the a*s and not a kiss.. doesn't feel all lovey dovey... I smell trouble.... something is "fishy" here... made me think this morning ma'am... need more coffee...

A little vignette of life, a few words in the grand scheme, but they express so much. Well done, yet again ma'am.

Thanks so much.
Ha 'M' a sweet little reminder that small gestures can mean such a lot in a flowing verse that paints the scene well.
