I have to dance

I have to dance

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

Kryptonite for the soul -- Today I part 2

"
Today I choose
not to swim in darkness
but to dance in the light.

Today I jump
on the trampoline
and tickle your smile,

Today I remember
the you I love
for a little while

Today I remember
The "Crabs in the Bucket"
and "Kryptonite",

Today I dance,
because moping in your name
isn't right.

Okay, I read this one first, out of order...but still, the music is not out of order. Keep dancing KLGoode, let this music move you. I really enjoyed this today. Off now to find part 1

thanks I appreciate it
What I really like here is the mix of big images of darkness and light and small, personal touches of childhood with Kryptonite, this is perfectly written with light and shade... and a fine job.

thanks, I am glad it comes across as intended
I agree better to dance in the light than to mope. Nice flow of thoughts in the poem. I like to escape to the outdoors when the world is at bay. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry my friend.
