I have to dance

I have to dance

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

Kryptonite for the soul -- Today I part 2

"
Today I choose
not to swim in darkness
but to dance in the light.

Today I jump
on the trampoline
and tickle your smile,

Today I remember
the you I love
for a little while

Today I remember
The "Crabs in the Bucket"
and "Kryptonite",

Today I dance,
because moping in your name
isn't right.

Sometimes we do things we never thought we would in order to get over a broken heart and escape the bittersweet memories.

Of course I am right, would you expect anything less, LOL
I absolutely adore this...there are a lot of personal connections in this one for me...I heard that song everyday on the ride to work in the staff van for several weeks...it had just come out and the daily countdown would be on just as we were driving back to our staff accoms, and it would get cranked...this was way back in 2000 in Alberta, and the best four months of my life to this day...the uplifting feel of this piece definitely has me reminiscing now on what's really been a lousy day on my end...what more can I say, it just brought a smile to my face...nicely done :)

Dance the day away, my friend.....and remember to whoop it up too. The bad times are not the ones we need to remember. The good times are the balm for the soul. Remember them....and keep on dancing! I liked the uplifting attitude of this one. Lydi**
