It's you, I must confess

It's you, I must confess

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

sometimes stuff happens you don't expect and maybe didn't think you wanted

"
How did this happen?

I didn't want this,
didn't you know?

I wasn't looking,
not only that,

I was avoiding,
running down
the road,
as fast as I could.

but I was caught
by a blue eyed
smile and a sparkle
I didn't realize I need.

Now all the sudden
there is hay in my hair,
and country music
in the air.

No way, not again.
NOT FAIR.

Oh I know you all like to see my squishy underbelly occasionally ...
Thanks to Noel HC for the song recommend. Now if only I could get Noel to listen to Maria Brinks or David Draiman ... LOL

Thanks, yeah, I guess that is it. Dunno, still scared to jinx it, I think.

You are welcome and I told you everything works out :)
I like this. You have a simple way of expressing complex concepts that I admire. It's also nice to see the softer side of you every now and then. Kitties have claws but it's much more relaxing when you can pet their fur and listen to them purr while sitting on a chair watching the clouds roll by.

Well written.

You never know
Oh, KL, come on, I listen to BOTH kinds of music; country AND western! : )
A lovely poem, nicely written, and based on what you have shared of your life, I, for one, am pleased to see that there might be a little romance in your life to come.

Thanks so much. One never knows. Old dogs and all that
don't keep too careful...sounds like he's a good country song and more than a roll in the hay...
and the best come along when we are not looking for it or maybe running away from it.
that is what happen this time for me...and it has been a really good three years so far...
but then she had the same mindset as i....so it was a good collision.

You woman, are deadly.......
Ah, so well I remember the perfume of youth when women's hands smelled of Jurgen's lotion and their backs of fresh crushed clover.

I am so not young. But I smell of Nivea sometimes, cocoa butter mostly ...
