sometimes life is just funny

Logic confounded
by the heart's
coincidental incidences --

thought I knew you when,
was it somehow
in another life?

            i was --

                     searching for you,
                     although I didn't know it,
                     at the time.

fated meeting,
last minute decision,
threw caution out the door.

an appointment scratched out,
person A becomes person B,
person U.
                      
                         I could have left.
                         instead,
                         I kissed you.

and that one set
of coincidental incidences,
twisted my heart's history.
