we can't all be Einstein Casanovas

we can't all be Einstein Casanovas

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

it is what it is, as the recently anointed phrase goes.

"
some people
can't see past
their own noses
or navels,
as the case
may be ...

they see you
or him or
him or me,
but they
really don't see
do they?

judgements
rudimentary
in nature are
seared in
superficial
flesh lines,
never peeling back
the underneath.

sometimes the
goof is really
a genius,
and the genius
is a thin
veneer of
vanity wrapped
in a cloak
of charm.

we can't all be
Einstein Casanovas,
but sometimes,
we can be
backward
and brilliant
at the same
time.

Here is the thing, it is really not about being the smartest person, it is more about what you do with the knowledge you do have… I would rather be the nicest person than the smartest one.

Speaking of smart, a very intelligent piece of writing.

Yeah, it has a catchy ring to it.
Amen to that!
Great write KL. A reminder that perceptions are just that, perceptions and that we all have "layers".
Judge not.

:>)

I keep looking for edits so I can add value somehow but... Coming up empty. :-)

Thanks so much, it's for someone I know.
Oh, you said a mouthful with this one. Being charming and knowing how to say all the right lines does not make someone a genius. If the genius is a thin veneer, it will eventually begin to peel....and when that happens, I love being the one to point it out. This is a great venting poem.....kudos! Lydi**
