It was an ordinary day. But sometimes, ordinary days turn into extraordinary ones. I heard a rustle by the trees or maybe, it was a sneeze either way, it gave my heart a squeeze when I saw woman who looked not quite right ... twisted skin and bone, muscle sinew half woman half dragon or ferocious beast, she smiled at me if such atrocities could be called a smile and asked in a voice more akin to nails on a chalkboard and almost as intelligible, "Give me that thing", at first I thought she meant my ring but then I saw she wanted to sing, and so, not without great sadness and trepidation did I offer my ipod in exchange for my salvation to this hideous thing.
an hour later I am on hold with Apple trying to get my unit disconnected -- yes, it was stolen, can't you see, I explain patiently a dragon sister took my ipod, she seems partial to Rob Zombie ...
Haha I love the dry humour in this piece, and I take elements of both of you from it...Frieda is a muse...love the inverted rhymes as well...I enjoyed this one for sure...well done KL.

Haha She challenges me too, especially on the collabs...that's why I call her a muse...
Hahaha! No such thing as ordinary days around here - this is hilariously twisted! Makes me mis my iPod a little, too... (broke a bottle of hard cider on it...) Thanks for the laugh today, KL!

That's awesome from the twisted comedy sister herself
Love the smile atrocities lines. Once I dropped my Ipod in the toilet. You know the damn thing still works.

so, it looks like you rose to your challenge as well, ma'am... very nicely done.. You are a stinker for making me hang on each line waiting to see what would happen next.. That made it that much more dramatic.. but of course, you knew that already...... The playful rhymes made it fun...... even in the darkness- sarcastic humor still reigned queen.. I enjoyed this amusing piece.

You know zombies ride dragons and use iPod to talk and sing.. true, honest!! And Ms. Frieda zombie has been going around to everyone she knows trying to get them to give up their iPod.. sorry she was able to get yours. Call Apple back and tell them it was Frieda and they will send you a new one post haste.... then you and Frieda can call each other and sing Rob Zombie songs...
You did good with her challenge KL

You know how much she just "LOVES" those stilettos.. it's how you can tell Frieda apart from those other zombies, her zombie hobble is more a zombie swagger in them red stilettos..
lol...I really like this one too but I don't have an ipod and wouldn't know the first thing about it but maybe I should look into it...I might get an adventure out of it after reading your poem KL. This was fantasy extraordinaire.

This was a fun graphic to postulate on. I am sure you would be very good at this sort of challenge, as your style of poetry lends well to improv.
