It was an ordinary day. But sometimes, ordinary days turn into extraordinary ones. I heard a rustle by the trees or maybe, it was a sneeze either way, it gave my heart a squeeze when I saw woman who looked not quite right ... twisted skin and bone, muscle sinew half woman half dragon or ferocious beast, she smiled at me if such atrocities could be called a smile and asked in a voice more akin to nails on a chalkboard and almost as intelligible, "Give me that thing", at first I thought she meant my ring but then I saw she wanted to sing, and so, not without great sadness and trepidation did I offer my ipod in exchange for my salvation to this hideous thing.
an hour later I am on hold with Apple trying to get my unit disconnected -- yes, it was stolen, can't you see, I explain patiently a dragon sister took my ipod, she seems partial to Rob Zombie ...
Where have these words been hiding all my live long daze.........You are one crazy cat.. dont ever change........ oh' and I reckon she would love it too..... N

She did. Our banter is after my check mate above. :) 4 years. You gotta lotta reading to do lol
I think I have yet to experience an ordinary day, there's always something that will turn the walls inside out and dump you into surrealville. But look on the bright side, you'll save oodles of time not having to agree to their terms and conditions, which change every five minutes. Don't they know, we agree already :)

Frieda thought she'd stump me. To this day it's one of my funniest memories of a writer I adored but never met, and miss so much. Many fun and amazing writers were driver from this place by trolls. I went on a near two year hiatus due in part to that same reason. But it's writers like yourself who keep me coming back
That's driven. Damned autocorrect makes us all sound like idiots

But on a lighter note...
Ha, if you want a laugh, look up auto correct mistakes, there is a list of them. Large hadron collider comes out as large hardon colluder :)

Yes autocorrect is quite the nuisance. I turn it off and it resets every update
That was the problem with having an Apple - she wanted a byte of it. Musically, of course ,my Samsung may have appeared more suitable for her needs.
Thanks for the chuckle!!!

It was a challenge -- Frieda (she is missed around here) kept challenging me to write poems from weird pics. She thought she stumped me with this one. It's a game I used to play in here, ready, set go ... and people would time me. I am glad it comes across as "polished" -- many people are hyper critical of people who don't "perfect" and edit things to death -- I say editing is necessary to correct errors, not always to make things better.
An hilariously funny poem complete with the latests technology. My dear dragon sister wouldn't know what to do with an iPod. Me neither, for that matter.
Well, this was great fun to read. It made me smile today.
