Fake it

Fake it

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

dancing to one of my favourite tunes by Seether today

"
I wonder where
you learned
to FAKE it
so well --

You took me out
for dinner
and when I wasn't looking
swapped me tofu
for meat.

You handed me
a bottle
of finest champagne
that was really
just sparkling lies.

You fed me
your words
and slathered me
with false praise;
bubbles of hope.

I wonder where
you learned to
FAKE it
so well.

Well I have news for you,
I can FAKE it
too.

Amazing she can survive....
Swapping meat for tofu? That is a hanging offense around these parts. I almost feel pity for the target of your wrath here. Almost.
Well written.
