Endless Journey

I see prison walls
I bleed within my days

I can’t feel the voids no matter what I do
this pain inside is everything and true

I have nowhere to run
life seems as a game
I am not winning the effects,
and shames pour like a plea

People feel they know me,
but have no idea

I try to go on every day
yet I cry tears that leave a path

How could they even
hope to know
the weight of you
upon my chest?
It gets so hard each day,
I can barely inhale a breath;
I force myself to carry on
I have not what else to do,
whittling away these lonely nights
with knives of hurt and misery

I look for ways to cope, as a sail on a ship

I wonder if ill breeze about knowing my facts are ripped

My voids in life are here and now,

with red flags hanging like a voice in the clouds

Thunderous beasts roaring loud,
but somehow I drown them out
throw them back into the sea of doubt
somehow I dream I will get through,
every time I look at you
.

I really do not know what to say except this poem was outstanding. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and trying to pick out who wrote what, which I could not do. This is seamless and as close to wonderful as it gets. Congtrats to you both, this poem was exceptional.

That is nice. I just can't say no when he asks, he is so polite about it ...
Losing someone we love is so difficult....and it is so true..no one knows the pain that is felt...It is impossible to describe.

I believe the key to a successful collaboration is when the poets words blend perfectly - as yours do. Congratulations on a gorgeous poem.

Smilesssssssssssssssssssssssssssss in the milesssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
What a great collaboration.
Losing someone you love is so so hard.
It wasn't meant this way perhaps but when I read this I think of someone I love who has passed...
So it was a very emotional read for me. :(
Well done KL/Jonathan.

The beauty of a poem is you take out of it what you need.
this is pretty heavy stuff...another really good collaboration...voices blending like different waves in the ocean...there is no doubt the quality of this piece, even if the speaker is expressing much doubt as to whether he or she can carry on...life does get overwhelming at times...

but poets seem to be able to write ourselves out of the strong current into calm waters, sooner or later.
nice job you two.
