heart stone

heart stone

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

this came to me yesterday

"
i dropped a stone
into a wishing well,
it sunk like it was
supposed to.

problem was,
it wasn't just any stone.

it was my heart,
petrified from
all the years
of you.

This is sad KLGoode. I really liked this poem alot. It was short and to the point, even if it was sad.

Thanks so much for your review.
KL Goode: I am a fan of this poem. Succinct,.. and a pretty successful concept laid out here in the writing. I'd also go so far as to bet that you could nearly even get this down to a haiku, or there abouts ... :)

Thanks so much. Something I just had to get out
Wowza, damn I felt my heart sink when I read this… that is how it does feel when you lose the person you thought you'd spend your life with.
