the aftermath

the aftermath

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

another election is over

"
Once hopeful signs now
dot lawns across the city
looking forlorn and lost
as the masses have voted
once again for nothing new.
what's a billion dollars here or there,
they are all crooked anyway,
the status quo is safer,
even if she shredded documents,
at least she knows how to
run.

Brilliant thoughts.
Most elections I find we are caught between a rock and a hard place.

You poem speaks to a universal frustration.

The truth with most elections i'd say...whether on the state level or national. Its mostly a lot of false promises...dirt throwing and money thrown out the window. Lol...great poem KL.
