Apologetic

Apologetic

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

Loosely based on one of my new favourite songs ...

"
Forgive me,
I am unapologetic.

Something you sensed
just wasn't copacetic,

I might have been
more than just apathetic,

following frenetic suppositions
erratic suspicions
angry derisions
decisions
to deceive
and disbelieve,
till one day
fact met fiction,
and I happily
ate your prediction
lapping greedily
at the corners
of your affliction,
assuming your darkest
visions --

I am sorry,
I am unapologetic
for taking back
me.
