What I got from you.

What I got from you.

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

yeah, if you aren't into personal poetry, don't bother with this one.

"
I filled out the paper work.
Your stuff's been in boxes for a while.
The dress at the back of the closet
was moldy.
I gave it a proper send off --
you don't want to know what I
did with that.
The rings are somewhere.
When I find them I will bring them to the mall.
They will be weighed and measured,
and I will get one tenth what they are worth
for my trouble.

Which is more than what I got from you.

I still have my dress .What ?....it was a gorgeous dress and it wasn't the one that broke its promises.I thought about doing the same things to my rings but in the end just left it buried somewhere or the other.Excellent pen Kit Kat :)

Thanks so much. I have not the mood to keep one thing. I only keep the photos for the kids.

Thanks so much for your review.
Anger somehow always makes for good poetry. Loved the moldy dress. I enjoyed reading this today even if it seems bad memories for you. But better to close that closet door once and for all.

Well, yes, but sometimes the door is a little sticky. Working on that.:)
Sooo relate to this one! In my favorites it goes. Really KL, you do it best... did you have a dress bonfire too? That last line, get em! haha. Great write as per usual.

That is right, you do not need to keep those tainted memorabilia that reminds you of the lies that brought you heartache.
