dark side of love's third moon

dark side of love's third moon

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

inspired by Jacob, I just had a chance to jot it down

"
He divorced the sun
and I divorced the dark side of
love's third moon --

After a lifetime of low tide
he says I spoke too soon --

There is nothing left to save,
and it is way past high noon.

The sun rises without compunction,
and it's just another day there
on the dark side of the moon.

when its over its over ...especially like your third verse and couplet ..the language reminds me of my dad and his love of old western story writers ...they were straight shooters ...like this poem ..leaves no doubt .. such a melancholy sad closing tho ...the optimist in me wants the sun to shine there ;)

A sad poem. Reminded of the Native American tale. Where a young couple were made to become the moon and the sun to keep apart. I enjoyed this poem. Left something for the reader to think about, Thank you dear friend for sharing the amazing poetry.

You did well. A enticing tale.
Two people, different worlds apart, words heading into the ethereal. That's the real dark side of the moon.
