removed from storage

removed from storage

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

someone from the past

"
You need to bury me
or give me my proper place
in your life.

You cannot keep me
a warm memory to be
removed from storage
and fondled when you wish.

You were kind to me
when I needed a friend.
now you want to sully that
and make it something
it was not.

You have her now,
I can't be who I was to you,
and I won't be your unpaid w***e.

"Geezer". Ha. Appropriate.
It is funny how things get past a point and then there is no going back. Not ever!
I don't understand it, but it is obvious when it happens.

You are exactly right. Funny how some people close their eyes and pretend.
I've never been a fan of the whole friends with benefits thing...or to be second choice. I could feel the emotion in your words....and the title is brilliant!
