I missed the memo

I missed the memo

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

oh still on a rant

"
apparently I missed the memo,
while ee cummings was quite a fellow
he wasn't a poet didn't ya know it?
and neither was my heroine
Anne Sexton -- she was just a charlatan!
and so is anyone
who doesn't follow
a script down to the letter
I should have known better
none of their poetry
will survive history
I will be in excellent company
they can slum it with me.

Anne Sexton is my favourite female Poet...she damn rocked!! Still does...I often wonder what the hell all the judgement is for, far as I am concerned, is there a bad poem, really? I mean, poetry is from the heart and art from the heart has a valid place...people are too quick to judge and actually, those that are, are they any better? Hmm...anyhow, loved this, love your writing and may fish my Sexton books out this afternoon...first port of call, a fav - "Wanting To Die"...epic...hell, I'll slum with Sexton any day lol ♥
