this started out as something ... different

this started out as something ... different

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

passing the time

"
hot black sand
between my toes
feeling funny
thoughts sublimely travelling
through the cracks of mind
time watches
memories fade
and make way for new ones
belying horrors once wrought
where am I
that you are not?
sable beach
in the middle of nowhere
time and civility forgot
...

What I love about your work is how easy it flows, merges and settles on the reader's thoughts...superb x

I like the poem. You gave glances of places and thoughts. Left the reader to use the imaginations. I like the closing lines. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

It really was a rambling memory triggered by procrastination.

I agree. You gave glimpses of memories.
Beautiful. I pictured the sand flowing through this piece as it did with your toes and your mind. I love this one. xo (:

I walked Sable Beach once and thoughts of that day are clearly foggy now....I doubt she sees it at all

I like this... wish I could just sit at the beach and well just be there. Wonderful piece :)

a deserted beach full of wonderful memories is even better. Thank you.
the sand of time slips through our mind like the sand between our toes, and then, well, our memories fade, and then our mind starts to fade also.

Your mind is not fading, no way. :)
