binge on poetry

binge on poetry

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

putting off the inevitable.

"
eating words like they
are potato chips
filling the crevices
of my mind's eye
with delectable dishes
of cleverly crafted
decadent dripping poetry.
gobbling up phonetics
like a hungry waif,
she hangs on
the edge of things
she should be doing
other than this.

and you can't eat just one!

but other than this? is there anything better than binging on poetry...

although we may have to go to "word watchers" afterward.
