Throw it back

Throw it back

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

you will see when you read it.

"
From different shores
they cast their nets
for different reasons
at different times --

she was looking for
something delectable;
tender, a tasty treat
from a vast ocean
of temporary satiation.

he was looking for
something safe,
familiar,
something without
hooks or teeth --

caught unaware,
they found each other;

together they
keep wondering
which way to swim ...

but if you find a pearl
when you shuck the oyster,
do you throw it back?

Hahaha! I really love your imagination and how you describe your thoughts using such imagery. The oyster reference fit really well in this piece! Great write! xo (:

Very nice, KLG....I like the fishing metaphor; the oyster shucking metaphor. Very appropriate, nice visual imagery. Great write!
