Pan's instrument

I was always scared of Pan.

Pan isn't a man
nor woman
she devil
might be
half beauty
innocent deer
the other half
human's unlikely kin

People think it is
a flute she plays
but it is really
a violin
made from the delicate gut
she ripped from
under kitty's
skin.

Cryptic and thrilling. I like the mythological content, and the bizzare ending.
Perhaps it needs a little reediting, just to make it a little more convincing. It's definitely interesting and free of clichees. I'm on!

Uncertain what to make of this. I do like the idea involving the musical qualities of cats and cat parts. I have often considered restringing my cats, and I would had I not grow so fond of them.
