You were beautiful and brash and bold and I loved you with all I had I looked at you that day and told you you could never chase me away I am sorry I was wrong.
I've known a soul such as this. I don't have words to fathom how that feels. Sometimes feelings are best left in a metaphor. I loved this poem for all the wrong reasons I'm afraid.
Amazing how we can go so off track, that love/hate thing sure does smart. Ouch, that double whammy, I hear there's life after heartbreak, hang in there my friend.
Ouch! I reality, only we can choose to leave. Yet far too often, it is the only thing left to do to find sanity and hope. Even if we break our own heart in the process. Still, I feel it is important to claim the power of our choices. Even when others seem to make the decisions rather plain for us.
I know the point of the write was how feelings change, but I just felt this thought about empowerment also...
Now I know a little bit why you write love poems this way. It spilled from the cracks of a brokenheart. There is a song by James Blunt with this title " You're Beautiful " ...or Beautiful
Well double heart break... they say third time you're always lucky...................................................
as always enjoyed reading your poetry
