I can feel my
teeth grinding
as I am sorting
through last year
no wonder why
I hate this
sifting through papers
finding all your lies
in black and white
letters I wrote
and never gave you
receipts for stuff
I bought and
didn't know I did --
still the same
still the game
only different.
Cash advances
second glances
all the trinkets
all the toys --
so you didn't
roll it up
and smoke it
you spent it
on useless trophies -
at least I know
this is the last
year I peruse
your financial
infidelity

                                 $1200 for the lawyer?
                 Sounds like a bargain to me.

Very vividly expressed what one is going through the tough and stressful situation, the reader can visualize the person through this poem, grinding the teeth and stress may cause TMJ temperomandibular joint pain, I recently heard $6000 caused by the process, good thing at least 1200, still hard, poem succeeded

While it is not easy to close the chapter, it has to feel like you are ridding yourself of a lot of emotional baggage. Sounds like a difficult audit to complete, but I have every confidence in you. very well written...I really like you style.
