A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

seeing what I can cookup to make people think I am not ready to jump

"
If I had a
magic lamp
a wand
or a pot
maybe I could
cook up
the perfect
recipe
to leave
this hell -

A dash of
kindness
a dollop
of nice,
a sprinkle
of sweet
and a little spice
spoon in
some smart
and throw in
some wit
generous
drops of
respect
and fun ...

Someone
who says
what they
mean and
means what
they say,
maybe just
maybe,
I will find
the secret
ingredient
for that
someday.

Variety is the spice of life, and keeps it from being bland.
Very witty work.

I think I read the Mortimer one but will re-read. In order. :)
I like how the words seem to drip down the page, sort of as if pouring from a slotted spoon. Very nice, KLG!

some curried truth, but mostly be yourself... they will think you too spicy and leave you alone... or if that doesn't help that ladle is good for an up side the head whack, you will be able then to enjoy whatever you cook up... but I also think you have a pretty good recipe there...

So this is the missing ingredient. I was trying to write Haikus and I thought about it like different ingredients. You have penned it well ...I can smell the aroma of this splendid recipe ...

I like this but does the recipe call for wadding boots as well? Because I want to tread the deep waters, Speaking of recipes its time to make some snow cream:)

i see this more as the hell being alone...and she wants to cook up the secret ingredient that will tempt the perfect mate to join her so that they can forever eat together.

i like the allegory in this.
