Princess

Princess

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

For BlakeDuckers. I hope you like it

"
I might not have
named you
Princess,
you of the soft
black fur
and the one
white sock
but my sister
named you,
and in the end,
that's what
you were -
my Princess.
you cuddled
me when
I was blue;
you knew
just how to
brighten my
day with
a wag of your
tail and a happy
bark.
I am glad our
last day
was the day
in the park
but sad that
truck
took you away
into the dark
you let out
a sigh,
your last goodbye.
my Princess
forever,
my heart.

God i did not think it would upset me as much as it has. Absolutely beautiful. Ever since she passed i have felt so so bad, but that picture, with them words. Just makes me feel so happy about her and her short life. Although it was short it was really happy. Thank you so much, i will keep this poem forever. Anyone that has lost a dog or cat or household pet they loved will know how much it hurts. I am printing this, i am framing this and i will always cherish it. Thank you my friend. I will remember you always.
