life and laundry

life and laundry

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

sometimes all we have to do is the dishes

"
Life and laundry
I kept telling you
sometimes there is
just the dishes
the floors and
the bills past due.

Sometimes there
is just one little
thing after another
to fill the day
to make it easy
to not talk or
look or be with you.

The dishes kept
me sane while
you wallowed in the
abyss.
Now you want me
to leave the little
things

When that is all
I know how to do.

I like the analogy of dishes and laundry in a relationships. Mundane chores and frustrations and the multitude of explanations...Bravo

Some day the mundane is all we have to keep hold of our sanity, relationships tend to wedge their way in at the oddest times and we're throw for a loop after becoming set in our expectations. Nicely pen'd KL>I can relate to your frustrations.

Wow, this expresses in a piece of prose how we get into rut/role and stay there if our partner is not compatible KLG
