Life and laundry
I kept telling you
sometimes there is
just the dishes
the floors and
the bills past due.

Sometimes there
is just one little
thing after another
to fill the day
to make it easy
to not talk or
look or be with you.

The dishes kept
me sane while
you wallowed in the
abyss.
Now you want me
to leave the little
things

When that is all
I know how to do.
