burn it

burn it

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

he told me to burn my words

"
He wants me
to burn them
my babies
born of
indelible ink
burn them
forget they
happened
like burning
them will
erase the
memories
and make me
forget
how he
burned me.

Author's Note

Lyn Anderson
In the end, he got all the poems. I don't really care if he burned them or not, as they are no longer part of me.

I'm with Jacob on this one, KL. That man definitely has to go and your words are certainly worth retaining for posterity! Nice work - I admire your spirit and your ability to put your feelings, very forcefully, in a very few words.
