Stop picking at that scab

Stop picking at that scab

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

frustration

"
You are so good
at picking at it
you just won't leave
the scab to heal
open up the wound
scrape scrape
tell me you'll go
tell me you'll stay
I can't believe a
f*****g word
you say
It isn't love
It isn't hate
It isn't indigestion
from the last thing
you ate.
An unhealthy obsession
I am not your possession
let it go
let it heal
set me free
If you loved me once
leave me be.

To coin a phrase; 'The first cut is always the deepest ' ! Better to draw a line in the sand and move on, lest this wound will continue to fester !

I admire the sense of agitation that expounds from this earthy write, its very raison d'etre!
