The Apostrophe Police

If you were going to write this about me, I beat you to it, so there.

She scrolls down the
page
with trepidation
hoping beyond
hope not to find
another misplaced
punctuation -
and there it sits
in all its glory
the horror
cannot be
ignored
no matter how
hard she tries
it's not where it's
supposed to be
and she the
the self-appointed
queen of the misguided
apostrophe
is forced
to continue
her reign
of
tyranny.

Author's Note

I know this would have been funnier if I could have brought myself to misplace the apostrophes, but my OCD is so insanely entrenched in this regard I could not do it.

At first I thought you to be an English teacher lol! Bet donkeys and cats don't have worry about punctuation! Being a heathen from Scotland !I never mastered the Queens English so this one scares me in a flowing warning of your eagle eye. Ah ha! funny you should take it as a warning. I was actually feeling kind of guilty after seeing and noting several - I actually do not take pleasure in it at all - I just cannot help myself.:) and not to is much less awkward, yes, I agree.:)

Thanks. It helps if people know where I am coming from. Obvious mistakes literally HURT me. I am not pointing them out to be mean. I can't stand it when I post typos or little errors.

I feel that way too - although I do get people who take umbrage with my style. I do not take offense in the least at a real constructive review. And hell, we all slip up, why does it piss us off if another writer helps us correct it?

lol Ohhhh, I do love this...no matter how many times we check, it happens...I will happily put my hands in the air and say I have a long way to go with punctuation, I do choose to not punctuate though, always have but I do know it enhances also...I have OCD too...damn, now I am thinking...
