love angst the usual poetic fodder

You can take it
lock it up tight
squish it
smash it
drop it in a box
put it in a cage
dip it in rage
close the door
and run for cover
take refuge in
the arms of another
but in the end
the b***h will
find you she
is awfully slippery
you see
and once
again it's
got you
                                love.

That's an interesting take on love. A very persistent and finicky creature, is she not? She might be absent for years only to turn a corner and run into her. You can flee but you know deep down that unless you take extremely drastic measures she'll find you again just the same.

I definitely like this piece. Your personification of love is entertaining, yet true at the same time.
