Loneliness is not always
standing alone
Tears do not always
fall from your eyes
For you may stand alone
and not be lonely
As I who stands
among the crowd
For you may smile and
cry inside as I.

Death is not always the end
Nor life the beginning.
For you may die and at last truly live.
Or live and die inside
As I.

I suppose you can stand in the crowd and be lonely. But to truly stand alone and be remembered, you really have to be great or done something great.

so true. I was feeling very depressed and alone at the time. The teenage years are the worst. At any rate, I fixed up our poem -- that's the last time I try to import fonts into this bloody program. What a waste of time, all my lovely fonts got butchered in translation.

This is so very true, life is not always the beginning, nor death the ending... You are spot on with the message of this poem... I can feel it and can relate to it very much... Loneliness is one of the hardest part of human life...

Thank you very much. I have been writing for a long time. A lot of these older ones have been published in literary journals and such. I have not submitted much to publishers since the 1990s.
