The Ocean

The Ocean

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

I love the ocean

"
I came to you
and went from you
in but a single breath
of time.

And while I was with you
you were like a lover
beautiful and strong
oblivious to my pleas
to slow the pace
to fall more gently
on me.

Your strange friends
twisted themselves
around my body
knowingly.

I was afraid
but I wanted you
to swallow
all of me.

And I like to imagine
you are one big
salty teardrop
shed for man.

I love them too but this is bigger than an ocean.

Actually, it is not, it is just an extraordinarily well written piece of literary art & to coin a WC.org turn of phrase, 'thanks for sharing... AGT's
