ecstasy

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

i fell in love with the ocean

"
She loves to listen to
the waves.
they tell her she is beautiful
and she surrenders
to their wet kisses
in the night.

         drowning
                     is
          ecstasy.

This is a sad poem, but beautifully penned. I hope you never have to go that far to meet ecstasy.

Sad, such beauty can harness such endings...still wonderfully penned. Drowning in your words this morning my friend.

I like how you described the ocean like a lover. I love oceans, too, and everything associated with water. (I have always dreamed of becoming a mermaid. Haha.) "Drowning is ecstasy" is a brilliant line. But I'd separate it into another stanza for some effect. Nevertheless, a lovely poem.

Yes, no, I guess if you haven't read all my work you wouldn't piece it all together.

Have you ever thought of publishing an anthology?

If I ever buck up enough courage to submit again after my last rejection, mine would be entitled either 'Turquoise & Other Shades of Blue' or 'Victims of Indifference' ... Keep em coming, if you know what I mean... N
