and took them to the moon

and took them to the moon

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

a love poem divorce

"
I ran to the far edge of the field
where the grass stood tall
and the dandelion tufts danced
and laughed in the summer breeze
(whispers of you)
puffs of smoke that disappeared
between the fingers
of my outstretched hands
aching to hold the(fading)
memories of you
and love sweet as the tender kiss
of morning dew.

With care I packed the pieces
of my broken dreams
and took them to the moon
where
his sister sky made love to me
and warm clouds caressed me bold
and wind sighed in my ear
to fill me with the night
until
quickly as dawn approaches
star dust tickled my cheek
and sent me back to earth
my suitcase still in hand

Heaven is my lover
but my dreams are all of you.

A very poetic journey on heartache/longing for what is gone, very nice.

A very delicate but sad poem. Very descriptive, Well constructed and flowing and the final lines provide great impact.

I really enjoyed the imagery in this. It's not often that I can truly envision what I read, so great job!
