So call meA Chapter by Lyn Andersonmore love poetry
I woke up this morning and realized
I still want you but for all the reasons you do not want me. I want you because I am lonely and I need a friend I want you because you walk in the room and no butterflies stir inside me I want you because I feel safe when you are around I want you because you do not frighten me or make me need you so much it hurts when you go I want you because I do not feel the fire in your arms but the warm glow of a candle I have felt the thud thud of my heart when he left the room and the weakness in my knees when we kissed I also felt the kick in the gut when he slammed the door and the terror when he returned But you want that fire because you have never been burned the heat, the excitement, the incredible longing the stuff that novels are made of and hearts broken by every day. I want you because I trust you but trust isn't enough for you right now. So call me once she tears your heart out and roasts it like a marshmallow over that open fire. © 2016 Lyn AndersonAuthor's Note
