A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

Everyone once in a while I try to imagine what it is like to be a heartbroken man

"
freshly cut
the
vibrant rose
bled in his hand

shattered
his heart
beat silently i
in his chest

wilting
the colourless rose
and crumpled
the farewell note

these were all he had
now

So sad, KL, this poem could used, to describe both sides, of a broken up relationship. As someone, who straddled both sides of the gender divide, I can relate to this, sadly. Maybe, it just me, as I want to sigh, until I can't breathe, anymore. Wiping away, the tears, which stream down my face.

Thank you so much. I tried, at the time, to imagine what it would be like.

It's not easy, trying to understand, the other side, but you have done it, KL.
