imagined

imagined

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

disillusioned love

"
I can't remember your face

but I remember a memory

of your smell

the soft touch of your skin

the feel of your breath

on me

the melody of lies

you bathed me in

lavished me with

meaningless words

the way you held me

when i hurt

deception so complete

i never saw it coming

till it smacked me

in the face and

left me reeling

lying in a pool of my

own stupidity

how could i not see?

You are nothing like

i imagined you to be.

It's always at the end when the pieces fall into place.
That's when hindsight mocks you to death.
But the proverbial horse is always outside waiting for you to get straight back on it.

Too true. But this time the horse is a winner
Funny how when it all goes pear shaped, the face is one of the first things to be distorted and then, in a blink its gone.. so glad you reminded me... nice one... N

maybe it was...
Good one, I think sometimes we want something to be a certain way but it doesn't go as hoped.

Most definitely. And sometimes the illusions were entirely contrived.
Yep, I know that feeling but I like your study on it and the emotions that come through. I particularly love "the melody of lies you bathed me in". Unfortunately you words ring so true for everybody...all of us get fooled by someone, sometimes and if you haven't just sit back it's coming.

Thanks, and yes, it is unfortunate that this is such a common experience.
We don't see because we are trying very hard not to.Until the day there is no recourse and the thing smacks us upside the head.I know :)

Every woman wants a man who loves her not only for her body but for her beauty .. the beauty of heart, the beauty of kindness and peace. Love doesn't ever mean only to touch the skin and hurt a woman but feel the scent and make a woman smiley without wrench her body with any kinda pain ....

A man only feels the pain of a woman if he does a true love and vice-versa... Now a days, people forgetting the worth of woman how worthy they are .. for me what i think is every man should show some respect to every woman .. and if a man does love a woman and wants making some love then he should first learn to understand the women's feelings, her pain, her peace and her everything so that a man could keep a woman away from pain and hurt ... but close to happiness, smoothness and peace and a woman can find the peace, love, happiness only and only right into the heart of a man and vice-versa ...

anyway .. thanks for penning this cool write .. you really lost me into a world of peace through this piece for a while .. I admired this piece. You've a great talent of writing. Keep writing .. Your cool.
