They

They

A Poem by Amen A
"

Well...the poem really is open for interpretation, so I dont want to ruin it by giving too much detail

"
They told me am too angry
They told me am too young
They said I have a full life ahead
They said it's too soon to be bitter
They tell you it gets better
They tell you it could have been worse
They think they know
They think they remember
But they lost it all the same
They left it behind
They claim its age
They claim its wisdom
It's indifference
They remembered what they were
They forgot what they lost

I for one think "they" are adults, they tell kids the truth, they tell kids lies, they tell kids to grow up, they tell kids they're too young to do this or that. The sad fact is that we all turn into "They"

Has the sound of one who has experienced some type of loss and is tire of others' well intentioned advice. The fact is that everyone has to heal in their own way.

I get this on a level. They never never know how thing are in your head. Some times it doesn't get better and thats what people dont get. it never gets better you just get used to it, to everything.
