uneasy

A Poem by Amely

sitting there
sipping dry
maybe beer
would be nice
don't you see
tonite
i'm easy
overripe
and peachy
bursting
if you touch me
but there you are
over there
living life
in a chair
so i'll wish
to hear you snore
and blow a kiss
from the door

Forgive me, I'm stupid. I don't understand, "sitting there/ sipping dry". I keep wnating to connect it to the beer but can't get it to join up in my head.

It's a very sad plea and a bitter-sweet farewell/ good night. The doe-eyed shrug of the neglected.

For some reason, I'm very fond of, "i'm easy/ overripe/ and peachy/ bursting/ if you touch me." It makes me wonder why someone isn't already licking the back of their knucles. :)
