I Want to TalkA Poem by Amelia Wothe
I want to talk
The words inside me spill over I have so much to say
So much to scream These words rattle around Like marbles in a jar Gleaming and shining They shatter if you shake too hard I choke on my feeling words On my anger and sadness words The happy hopeful words The ears around me So tired of listening To my bitter vitriol They only know how you made me sad
They don’t know All the joy you brought to me All the creation you are All the ways you made me Because what the hell would I be Without you
