I Want to Talk

I Want to Talk

A Poem by Amelia Wothe

I want to talk
The words inside me spill over
I have so much to say
So much to scream

These words rattle around
Like marbles in a jar
Gleaming and shining
They shatter if you shake too hard

I choke on my feeling words
On my anger and sadness words
The happy hopeful words

The ears around me
So tired of listening
To my bitter vitriol
They only know how you made me sad

They don’t know
All the joy you brought to me
All the creation you are
All the ways you made me

Because what the hell would I be
Without you

Can feel how traumatic it can be. Don´t worry, love, let the words find their places in your poems :´)
I hope you feel better through your writings! It´s a touching poem, by the way.

Sounds like a dialogue of inner conflict, a struggle of good memories vs. bad. It sounds as though someone got dumped by someone else who seemed special. This is one of those issues that only time and distance will heal. Good luck.
