Manic State I

Manic State I

A Poem by Amelia Wothe

Spiraling off the edge
Whirling whizzing dizzy life
Vibrating out from my bones
Burnt up inside by my own raging feelings
Rising out of my brain like smoke
Filling a balloon and floating away
Looking down at my body with pity
Pulling puppet strings
Forcing flailing life into limp limbs
Until a snip sets me back down
