Hormonal Heartbreaks

Hormonal Heartbreaks

A Poem by Amelia Wothe

Dopa-gone
Like with the wind
Chasing their dreams
In some distant pasture

Seroto-not-with-you
That's all that mattered
They didn't care where they went
As long as they weren't here

Oxyto-see-ya
A careless wave
Was all that they left me
When they strolled out the door

Endor-finally-free-from-you
They were always desperate to go
I held on with all that I had
But eventually they left too

WILDLY CREATIVE & ORIGINAL!!!! This is a huge inspiration for thinking outside the dots! I love the perfect way you crafted those first lines of every stanza! Plus, each following statement is so impactful, so truthful, reminding me of every hormonal heartbreak I've ever had (& there have been tons!) I really love this fun fierce play on words!

Wow-
Because I can totally relate to all these disappearing
this is a treasure to me.

Well, well done...
back to this roller-coaster
of hormones.
