3rd. August, 1958A Poem by Juboraj![]() This poem was written by my late father (unpublished). Dated the 3rd of August 1958 (marriage anniversary).![]() My troubled mind is backwards cast, This luckless year, with woes galore, And dreams the scenes of joyful past, Like scraps of half forgotten lore. In mortal pain, I toil and languish, And brood if I shall face once more A future dark, in deepest anguish, Or live like golden days of yore. Upon this fateful day, Oh, Wife ! Yet once again, I wish to thee A happy, happy, married life, If life, on earth, can happy be ! And when, in throes of death immortal, From mould of clay my soul shall flee : With parting breath, from life's last portal, A life of joy I'll wish for thee !
