Chapter Three

A group of boys around 17 or 18 had jumped through the broken glass door and surrounded her before she knew what was happening. They had their fists raised, ready for a fight.
Maybe it was the martial arts training she’d had as a little girl. Maybe it was the practice from teaching the creeps on the street a lesson when she was burning of anger at her mom. Maybe it was both, combined with the adrenaline from this whole crazy experience kicking in, but one by one, she went around the circle and knocked them all out.
The first had been the toughest looking, probably because he hadn't seen what she could do yet, but she faked a punch at his face and when he moved to block it, she brought her knee to the groin and he collapsed backwards. The second expected her to use the same trick, and left his face out in the open, so she threw a punch and left him with a bloody nose. When she had turned to fight the rest, she found out why no one had come to the other boys aid. The were all gaping dumbly at the two on the floor, so she caught them by surprise and swiftly kicked four more of them down.
Finally only one was left standing. He looked a bit wary now she had defeated all his colleagues. They seemed used to being tough and feared, so this must be a new experience for him. Amali decided she probably had the upper hand, and turned, lowering her fists, to talk, not fight. As she turned, she raised her head, and time seemed to stop. Her green amber-flecked eyes met his dark brown ones, and both dropped their fists completely. It was like nothing she had ever felt before. But the moment was over all too soon. He seemed to feel it too, because he gave his head a little shake, making his dark hair flip wonderfully. Amali’s stomach did a back flip. She let him take her.

Maybe you should describe how she knocks them out in detail. The kicks, punches, and everything like that. Describe. Also, adrenaline not adrenalin. Anyways, a good chapter but an awkward moment with the boy. Maybe I just read it awkward though... Oh well. I enjoyed it and I shall continue reading. Good job and keep on writing!
