Welcome to My WorldA Poem by Avocations of Amberjust because....Magnolia flowers
blossom, like tiny seraphim in waiting wombs Delivering their
essence into the sultry summer morning As a thin layer
of fog takes flight above these ancient lands, Filled with earthen
tombs of life now ceased to be And iridescent
hues reflect on valley driven streams In waving metallic
shimmers that flow in rhythmic beauty…. The dogwoods
shed their petals, littering the ground like confetti Over mounds of
blood orange clay, The grassy
mint-green foothills are set aglow, by the dazzling
lights of day And the peach
cobbler clouds take their shape Against a cotton
candy sky…….. © 2013 Avocations of Amber |
