LIGHTNING RAIN AND THE PAINA Poem by AnthonyA DreamThe rain was falling hard it was a stormy night. In a room with three beds my mother, my father and me in the light. In between them both I was not myself, but I was awhare. The lightning was loud I was as still as could be,no blinking just a stare. knealing by my side a soft voice said to me. It's only lightning, said my mother you never know next where it will be. A flash of light As I awoke in a swet and a tear. A clouded dream of the ones I love A dream full of fear. I have not be able to sleep the same since that night. My mother, my father and me in the light. © 2009 Anthony |
