The Gentle, Wise Night

The Gentle, Wise Night

A Poem by ambur

The clouds speak in lyrical cause,
Whispering, waltzing, words in my ears,
So soft, I barely can hear.

Like wisdom to my soul, I walk
Away from the damn-est of men,
Every time a failing heartache.

But It's a beautiful night, a softened breeze.
I'll lay here now, wind in my dark hair,
and I'll thank the Gods I breathe.
