Ocean

Ocean

A Poem by ARP

My life is like the ocean,

Deep dark currents,

Hard crashing waves,

Intense swirling undertows,

All culminating in a loud crescendo,

Of hurt, pain, fear and anxiety.

Love has forsaken me

Like a tide that won't come in.

Dark blue soul of torment

Comes like sharks into the shallows.

I want to be free like the dolphins,

Flying and spinning through the air

Moving and communication as one.

Every drop of sparking water

Forced together are as my emotions

Compressed into my soul.

Emotions crashing into one another like tropical ocean waves, that's what it felt like reading this. Great job, keep up the good work!
